Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 6 boiled palm sprouts


  • 1/4 cups of water


  • 1 cup sugar


  • 2 cardamom


  • 2 tablespoon ghee


  • 1 tablespoon chopped pistachio

Directions

  • Apply ghee in plain tray and keep aside.
  • Remove the skin from the boiled palm sprouts and cut into small pieces.
  • In a mixer jar, grind the palm sprouts along with the cardamom to a coarse mixture(grated coconut consistency).
  • In a heavy bottom pan, heat 1 tbsp ghee and add the palm sprouts mixture and saute well for 10 mins in medium flame.
  • Then add sugar and a little water and mix well.
  • Saute well until the palm sprouts gets  thickened.
  • Finally add the remaining ghee and stir well for a further 5 minutes.
  • After that remove from pan and spread it in the tray.
  • Then sprinkle the chopped pistachios and cut into the desired shape.
  • Healthy Palm Sprouts Burfi is ready.
